Play65 backgammon room will provide exclusive online qualifiers for the fifth European Backgammon Tour and its tour's Grand Finale, starting this February with the first Play65/EBGT stop - 3rd ISTAVDER & 10th WBA Anniversary Tournament. "I am very proud and excited of the upcoming season" said Daniel Mester, co-founder of Play65. "The biggest online playing site has joined the biggest backgammon promoter to make the European Backgammon Tour 2011 bigger, better and richer than ever", said Chiva Tafazzoli, WBA president. Also, for the first time in online backgammon, Play65 members will accumulate the same ranking points ("Masterpoints") as their offline backgammon fellows by playing Play65/EBGT satellite tournaments. "Most importantly", said Mr. Mester "Play65 and WBA collaboration will bring together the online and offline backgammon worlds, plus provide exceptional value to our players." "And to promote backgammon more globally", added Mr. Tafazzoli. Play65/EBGT season 2011 will include eight stops in different backgammon locations; a Play65 online qualifier will precede each EBGT tournament, in which the winner will earn a free entry to the corresponding event, and the finalist would receive a Play65 VIP membership for a month.
